CROSSOVER #279 is a classic design and the simplest of the Decorative Hairpins. After forming a circle, the wires crossover then comes down to form the prongs. Decorative Hairpins with their captivating tops can dress up a hairstyle worn on special occasions. They can’t be buried in French Rolls or Buns like the 6 Basic Double Prong Hairpins as your hair may get tangled in the wire forming designs. Before removing, hold the design on top, then pull out the hairpin.       
 
In addition to owning a Basic Hairpin like HORSESHOE #249 that can be hidden in a French Roll or Bun, a Decorative Hairpin will highlight your hairdo and enhance your collection. Wearing two Hairpins will give you a securer hold but usually only one hairpin is needed. ALL our Hairpins are slightly curved to fit the shape of the head for comfort and safety as the prongs won’t stick out to poke you or someone else. They are handmade in “Regular Wire” for fine to medium thick hair or “Heavy Duty Wire” for very thick and long hair. ALL Hairpins are custom-made in Brass, Copper or Sterling Silver Wire for many hair types, textures and length.
